TRACK BREWING- INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY COLLABORATION 2022.

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality. IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group, or organisation specific.
To celebrate international women’s day 2022, we’re opening the brewery up to 10 women to create a beer brewed by those who identify as a woman or non-binary and are keen to have a further interest in all things within our wonderful industry.
We’re living in a very exciting time where power balances are constantly being challenged and, due to this, things are beginning to change. However, the beer industry is still a heavily male-dominated world so for this IWD we’d like to make a small step towards improving this.
This year we want to give 10 women the opportunity to spend a day with us at the brewery, to gain some hands-on experience and explore the different roles the women of Track currently do on a day to day.
We plan to begin the day at 8:30AM, when Aleks and the team will brief you for the day ahead. You will then be guided through the full process of curating a Track beer, from the brewing to the packaging. Involving you as much as possible!
Please note this will be a hands-on day so expect to get a little dirty! Wear some old clothes, sensible footwear, and bring a change of clothes!
After lunch (which will be provided), we will collaboratively name and design a label for the beer, with our in-house designer Amy! We plan on creating a design which reflects the theme of this year’s IWD, #BREAKTHEBIAS, celebrating women's achievements. Raising awareness against bias and taking action for equality.
To round up the day, Katie our taproom manager will be hosting an in-depth tasting of some of our beers, whilst introducing you to an insight of our work and ethos here at Track and our journey so far.
